A Close Call

My family continued Chinese New Year visitations without me this time... I had to stay at home to work on my projects... (I prefer that though)

Then minutes ago, my brother called... my family got into a car accident... Ended up in TTSH... Heard that a stupid car banged onto my cousin's car (he went to fetch my family)... Idiotic... Luckily everyone's safe... Suffered minor injuries... What kind of luck for 2nd day of Chinese New Year...

100th Episode of Desperate Housewives

The 100th episode made me emo-ed 4 times and teared at the end of its last few scenes... It is still my favourite show of all time...

Impressed

The economy has worsen over the span of a few months... People are either jobless or are trying very hard to secure their current jobs... But this effect doesn't seem to affect my brother AT ALL...

My brother is once again hopping to another new job... from a lab assistant at secondary school to a system engineer at Credit Suisse (How did he get into this! OMG!) following the same post at Singapore Computer Systems then to this company he's gonna get into... Singapore Technologies... And this time his post is like some Senior blah blah blah... And guess what??? He's getting paid like a uni student... Seriously impressed...

That goes to show one thing... Qualification is important... But it doesn't mean everything... The achievements my brother has made in such a short period of 3 years... Pro!

Personal Selling & Negotiation Skills

I'm so glad I met up with Hannah this morning at school... Did last minute mad rush study for the module... I think both of us are so going to score well for this module coz all the questions I spotted came out... Could have gotten full marks for that test... Too bad we only studied 2 points out of the 4 under the supportive communication style... Minus 2 marks... T_T

Hannah! Must get your second "A" in poly ya! Do well for this coming project!

Still waiting for my Customer Behaviour result... the release of that ICA result is taking way too long...

Hurray

Fujitasan's new home is at Jalan Mata Ayer which is at Yishun... It's a 15-minute bus ride from Admiralty... How cool is that... He's flying back to Japan this Friday, too bad I can't meet up with him all this while... Stupid hectic schedules...

Can't believe he still remembered his promise... He's gonna whip up some nice food for me when I go visit him at his new house on Feb... Can't wait to explore... Have seen some pictures of his condo and I must say rented condos have VERY nice interior decor to it...

Incorrigible

There's something that has brought upon my attention to fill in the entry for this post... And it's inconsiderate people... No matter if its people smoking in areas that aren't allowed, peeing on toilet bowls without flipping the cover (let's not even talk about aiming at the "hole"), lying on the seats of MRT trains taking up 2-3 spaces, they still live close to us...

Yes... Inconsiderate people cohibit in this world to create "balance"... HOWEVER I must say, this "balance" had toppled... For FREAKING 7 days in a row and counting, my parents and I (except for my stupid brother who sleeps like a dead pig) have been awoken at FREAKING 5am by this IRRITATING neighbour that lives directly under us...

The question IS how did they woke us up? I must say this is even worse than couples quarrelling in the middle of the night...

Using the "ANCIENT" stone grinder, the irritating neighbour STOMPS and MASHES spices to prepare for breakfast... Every FREAKING hit dealt to the spices felt like a 10 ton hammer pounding hardly on the marble floor... Each blow created a "KIAK & KUNG" sound that RESONATED our entire house...

Firstly, who in the world still uses stone grinder in this era!!!!
Secondly, if you want to prepare breakfast and DIE DIE must grind the spices, FREAKING do extra in the afternoon and keep it for the next day for breakfast!
Thirdly, there is something call THE cloth whereby you can place it underneath your beloved stone grinder of yours when you stomp the HELL out of it! :)

My mum was so pissed that she went to the kitchen balcony and screamed at the neighbour below... After that, you can imagine the kind of Malay languages coming out from her mouth... (My mum's from Penang)

I shall see what happens next... Can't wait for my mum to head to their house and confront them upfront... Let's just hope I have a peaceful rest this time... Haiz...

Amazed

I'm still marvelling at the fact that me & Miao Ling still share so many things in common even though we seldom get to meet nowadays... Kudos to that... ;)

~Food~

My thanks to Fujita-san for waking me up SO early in the morning... Few days ago, he told me he will call me asap when he gets his Singapore number... At first, I thought maybe it would take a few days for him to settle down... Who knows he really called me ASAP... It's only his 2nd day in Singapore...

Kinda cool to have a japanese friend who is a professional musician... Got to know him when he was still living in Japan... Now moving to Singapore... Kinda surreal... Haha... Coincidence I guess...

Now for the food post...

What happens when 2 people get really really really bored at home... Was crapping with Xiao Ti the first half of the day... We were thinking of coming out but we didn't know what to do... So I suggested eating dinner and some walking around town...

Kinda took us an hour to think of the venue... the food we wanted to eat... the budget for the food... In the end, nothing turn out as planned... In the car, he was still asking me what to eat, where to eat... Argghhhh....

Ended up in OutXXXX (forget already) restaurant... Xiao Ti came to that restaurant long long time ago and he commented that it sells nice big onion ring(s)... I agreed to it since I've never eat that before...

Overall, I must say really nice ambience... kinda cosy... The restaurant was abit too dark... Doesn't look very candle-lit dinner kind... Without the huge bulb in the middle of each dining table, I thought we were eating in the dark...

When we opened the menu... The menu was VERY pretty so were the PRICES of the food... Xiao Ti... So much for telling me your budget eh... Lalalala...

Was busy eating the food that I forget all about taking pictures of our main courses... Was freaking full/bloated after dinner... Thanks to the free flow of drinks offered...

Walked around and later settled down at Gloria Jeans for some beverages... Xiao Ti ordered the Triple Choc thingy... Damn sinful... Was kinda amused with the reciept printed... His nasal voice got him a new name... It's called "LICK"... Everyone can start calling him LEEK instead of NEEK... Nice yummy vegetable... Haha...





Later met up with Tim & Bc for Tow Huey and Chin Chow... Even more bloated... The shirt I wore was smaller than the usual size... So it revealed my 'pregnant' stomach... Ended the day... And I felt hungry again at 12+++... I'm a horrible person...

Sidenote ~the 'Baby Language' combo is disturbing!~
